Nothing tests an executive like pushback. Communications skills for executive leadership
What makes an outstanding executive? The Wharton School of Business identifies a variety of leadership qualities it likes to foster in its candidates - from subject matter expertise, to change management skills, to strategic thinking and foresight. But in the current age, none of these attributes is more critical - or offers the opportunity to set an executive apart from the pack - than first rate communication and persuasion skills.
Dunlop Media’s executive leadership program is focused exclusively on developing this type of superior communication talent. We offer tools and methods for executives to confidently articulate their courses of action, especially in a variety of internal and external settings where challenges and pushback are likely
Our program is designed to teach:
o A strategy for converting written business messages into a spoken narrative, which carries more cognitive resonance than messages alone;
o the ability to confidently handle questions and answers around, and outside, that narrative;
o physical components of effective communication, such as energy level and body language
Participants learn how to:
o Efficiently condense long and sometimes complicated information
o Concisely communicate this information as simple narratives with a key request/action/risk
o Feel more confident conveying this information externally or internally
